Wear your favourite fur coat over a denim jacket or even a hoodie. Or keep using your trench coat with a chunky cardigan and blanket wrap around your shoulders. Too much volume? Cinch your waist with a belt and you are ready to go.
2. Wear a turtle neck with everything
Turtle necks are perfect to add to those items that are not warm enough on their own. You can wear them under a pretty dress or a graphic tee to be on trend but also very warm.
3. Try velvet
It is trending again this season, but if you feel it's 'too much,' dress it down with a casual material like cotton or denim. For example this pair of statement trousers can be worn with a simple graphic T-shirt and trainers.
4. Wear cool socks with your favourite footwear
If you are up for a challenge, wear cute socks with your slim backs, just like the street stylers. Or opt for glittery socks/fishnet socks and brogues. Mix up your combinations to find your favourite.
5. Get tights of all sorts
We all love a good pair of black tights (especially on hairy days, right), but let's get creative this season with the endless possibilities in the hosiery department. Why not draw some inspiration from Diane Kruger: fishnets with platform sandals.
