A tale of fashion: Dolce & Gabbana, Milan Fashion Week A/W 2014

25 February 2014

Milan is no doubt the capital of timeless fashion and elegance, and we can certainly see it twice a year through the Fashion Week.

It's not just the exquisite street style: with one of the favourite bloggers Chiara Ferragni showing us how Italians are masters of style and grace.

We have to admit to having a very soft spot for Dolce & Gabbana. And each year we fall a little bit more in love with their art. It's their way of showing off their Sicilian roots, through collections made to add femininity to the women, to create a simple silhouette with dashes of colour, embellishments and symbols of their patria.

This collection is very reminiscent of childhood. A collection of medieval fairy tales, where owls and foxes coexist with red riding hoods, floaty dresses and encrusted armours.

They might have changed the story this time, but it is a story with a very fashionable and happy ending indeed.

Bravo Domenico & Stefano, bravissimo.
